Hi there,

This is my first post here.

I'm probably a reasonable source for info on H-1. I design knives for Spyderco and I created the Salt series.

I'm also a PADI diver so I have some knowledge of diving.

This is an interesting thread and has provided some good info, (the poem was great) although I'm planning on another thread to try to get more info. We have plans to create a series of dive knives, dive shears and other accessories using H-1 material.

We (Spyderco) would like to create what you want/need so a separate thread would probably work best.

H-1 has proven to be both a good edge holder and has also demonsrated excellent corrosion resistant properties. We have not, nor has anyone else been able to make it rust.

How about some shears made of H1? With the Spydy edge as well.

I've a Pacific salt, spydy edge, and love it.
It also works great on cutting carpet - cuts like butter.
