Understood. And it's great that Shearwater inspires such confidence in people. But, when you're tech diving, should you ask "any reason not to update both?" Or should you be asking "any reason I need to update both at the same time?"
Maybe I've just read too many books on scuba accidents now...
Fair enough... I made a similar comment about reg servicing a few months ago. A shop serviced both of my regs. He used parts not specifically for my Apeks regs. Both totally failed 5' from the surface on the first dive. Moral of the story... service one, get a few dives on it, then service the second one... 'Cause if the dude doing the work screwed up one of them, he's likely going to screw up both of them.
