I'd like to be able to keep up with the conditions at my favorite springs while not in Florida. Is there any place on the internet that keeps an updated status of the various springs and parks regarding flooding, closing, visibility, etc.? Aside from helping with cabin fever, it will also make it easier to plan trips down there.

If nothing exists today I think Twitter would be an excellent tool to use for that purpose. I'll suggest it to Jill if it's not already being done some other way.

Sweet, that site is excellent! I don't know why I hadn't found it when I was looking around...

Register at CDF. If there's no current report all you have to do is ask and someone will probably be able to answer.

Jim, thats a great resource, thanks for posting.

I'd be careful with the CDF. Be very careful about what post there, they aren't nearly as friendly as this board is. People over there never miss an opportunity to gang flame you.

LOL, if your feelings get hurt that easily, I'd recommend never stepping foot into TDS. Its just the internet. CDF is plenty friendly, they don't allow flaming. TDS is a great resource for info as well, but censorship there is far more open, so people will speak there mind at your expense if you let them.

?????

I'm not sure what you're talking about. CDF is very friendly and prohibits any kind of flaming. I believe you're getting your boards mixed up.

In retrospect I guess the CDF is not that bad, especially compared to TDS.

I would agree with all that both of those boards have volumes of good info about tech and cave diving.
