What are the latest standards/conventions/requirements for post-dive times before letting divers head for the beach and are ceilings imposed on chopper pilots?

Legislative standards had not been thought of when I first got offshore so it varied a lot by supervisor, company, and geography. Some would have to stay aboard for 24 hours post-sat while others headed for the beach in 8 hours. Some supers would keep them aboard for 12-24 unless the chopper could fly below 500’. No idea what was happening on bounce dives.
