I'm bored of working on my thesis, so why don't we all help me procrastinate by posting your favorite shot of some kind of charismatic megafauna? I'll start with a Kona coastal manta (Manta alfredi) flipping through a school of copepods taken on the world famous Kona manta night dive.

Will this work? This was taken in August 2012 off Roatan.

There are some truly talented photogs on here, keep 'em coming! All of the pics are pretty good, but that thresher pic is probably one of the best I have seen.

To keep it going, here's a friendly oceanic whitetip (Carcharhinus longimanus) encountered offshore from Kona, Hawaii.

OK, so this was taken at the Downtown Aquarium in Denver, but it was still an encounter. A 400 lb queensland grouper.Picture014.jpg
