The first time I was in cozumel, a security guard took a deck of cards from me as we were boarding the plane. He saw us playing in the lobby and decided that he wanted them. It wasn't worth making a scene and maybe missing my plane for a deck of cards. He gave me some nonsense about airport regulations. This was pre 9/11.

Probably seen too many movies with ninjas and playing cards used as weapons :wink:
 
In January coming back from Coz, the guy made me take the batteries out of my light. He didn't take them, just needed the light to be empty. Did this to most of our group. Then one guy screwed his light back together like normal and it took 2 off us to reopen it do to the pressure causing it to vacum seal.
