These are the first saltwater pics I've taken with anything beyond a disposable. I'm just a lowly snorkeler at this point :)

First thing I will say is HOLY CRAP IS THIS HARD. Some of the photos you guys take are unbelievable. I probably need more training and better equipment, but i'll never look at an underwater picture the same again. I took probably 500 photos between Fajardo and a trip to Culebra. Very few of them made the cut as quality pics. Some were taken with an Olympus770sw, and some with a Sea Life Eco Mini.

What kind of fish is this below? It was the coolest one I saw all trip...

Keep at it , you're off to a good start !! The fish looks like a Gurnard to me.
 
I would also say it's a Flying Gurnard. I have yet to see one of those. They look beautiful.
 
It was really neat. I have good video of it as well that I will post that shows it going from normal to "fully winged" - looks like something out of a movie.
