Ive been wanting to go the BP/W route. for streamlining.. no pockets. I don't need the pockets. Im just an underwater tourist .

So what's the real difference of the Pure Single System / Pro Single System / Form Single System.

The website shows pictures but there's no real description. Well Pure single system seems to be cheaper ...

Hi LanceRiley,

Depending on the region, we may or may not sell systems in Single-tank configurations pre-packaged, but the Single-Tank adapter fits any XTEK configuration. We don't sell the Pro System in the US, but here's a peek at all 3. SCUBAPRO - X-TEKAs you can see, the first major difference in these systems is the harness. The Pure-Tek harness is a webbing harness with no quick release buckles at the shoulders, and no padding. The Form-Tek harness is fully padded, with extra D-Rings as well as a quick release on each shoulder strap, and the Pro -Tek is a sort of hybrid of the other two- full webbing, no padding save shoulder strap pads, more D-rings and one quick-release buckle on one shoulder strap. The next difference would be the wing- Horseshoe or Donut and the lift capacity. All pre-packaged sets come with an Stainless Steel backplate, but an aluminum backplate is available, as is a travel plate. Which you choose really depends on the type of diving you wish to do, and your personal preference. Generally speaking, the configuration which most closely resembles a BCD would be a Form-Tek harness paired with a 30 or 40 lb Donut Wing, with the backplate of your choice and a single tank adapter. We also have a range of accessories to customize your XTEK setup. If you're new to backplate and wing diving, I would highly recommend spending some time with an authorized SCUBAPRO retailer for a more hands-on look at these systems and what they offer. Many dealers even allow customers to "try before you buy".

Best of luck, and Happy Diving!

Im in the Philippines. They do sell the Pure Single system and the Pro Single System. but the price difference is way too high... that made me curious since the website shows very little difference as you described it. Anyway will be looking at it this weekend.

thanks for the info.
