Anyone know anything about the quarries on Cedar Creek Road? The sign out front says it's some kind of LMPD training facility. The satellite image looks like it's an awesome place. It's a shame to be closed to the public...

Yes, I believe there are 3 quarries out there. Vis sucked and there is nothing to see. Without having my logbook with me, I believe it was real shallow also.
A buddy of mine is on the LMPD dive team and river patrol. I'll have to ask him if they even use those quarries anymore for training. I seem to remember they train in other locations.
