Hello:

Has the diving started in NJ area after Sandy or is everyone staying out till mid next year?

Several boats have been running for a few weeks now.

Thanks. Can anyone please post a dive report?

Water has cooled, vis is low and plenty of current and surge.

Thanks. I will wait for the vis to get better. Temperature I dont mind.

I know a boat the was in 165 FSW on a popular wreck off of NJ last weekend and only had 10-15 ft of vis. This wreck is usually known for having very good vis.

I know the Sea Lion broke the inlet, ran a mile, then turned around as the seas were rough. That being said - they are in the water and running trips.

Best report Ive seen is 10-15 feet of vis - with reports of 0-10 in the inshore wrecks.

Ive seen reports of most of the NJ boats trying to run - or at lease setting plans to run.

Can anyone guide me to boats that have started going out? Id like to book a trip early next month. thanks.

Gypsy blood - in this thread - is running. I dove with them yesterday. Check out their facebook page - it seems to get updated faster with winter trips (faster than the website).
