Definitely spend the extra money and buy the digital version of the strobe. Having control over the flash intensity is huge. Keep in mind that they have changed the orientation of the sync cord inside the adapter that fits onto the lens dock. You need to push it further into the adapter so the end of it points TOWARDS the camera's internal flash instead of pointing up. With the regular (yellow) strobe you will need to purchase a diffuser. You don't need it with the digital version.
