To anyone out there still diving that 7mm Farmer John, here is a recommendation for dry suit. :) Did my dives this past weekend and I can't praise dry suits enough. 48 degree water for 38 minutes without much in the way of undergarments still gets a bit cold but let me tell you, stepping out of that water and being dry is heaven. Buoyancy wasn't an issue. for my fist dive I was 4 lbs over but that is controllable. After burning that tank to 500psi and doing another check to 22 lbs the next dive was perfect. Once I get totally used to diving a "spirit level" it will be even better. Winter diving, here I come at full throttle.
