Regulator dunked in water with shampoo

Due to ignorance, I dunked my regulator (not the first stage) on water with shampoo that was supposed to be for wetsuits.

What should I do to clean it now?

Dunk it in water without shampoo? Whilst pressurized and then purge?

Pressurize it, rinse with fresh water and purge it a few times and if possible breathe it in shallow fresh water.

I understand you dunked the second stage? No issues, just dunk it in fresh water without shampoo with the first stage attached to a tank with pressure and shake the second stage in the water while pressing the purge and you will have a very clean second stage.

You did not hurt it. Rinse in fresh water. Done

I am not able how to pressurize it so that option is hard if not impossible. Would rinsing/soaking with fresh water be enough?

Lather, rinse, and repeat.

Make sure you give the mouthpiece a good wash. There is a pretty good chance it wasn't just shampoo in there with the wetsuits.
