Thanks ... just what I'm looking for.

Ooooh, these are perfect. That Peacock video brings back amazing memories of my first ever dive on thirds. Looks like you had better vis than we did ... we got in just after one of the most torrential downpours I've ever experienced. Vis at Olson's was maybe five feet!

6th video down - Peacock

Not the best photos or video, all taken a few years ago when I first started cave diving and U/W photo and video, but some of it might be useful to you.
Some of these would be very useful ... thanks!

Here's a photo from Devil's Ear at Ginnie showing how pretty the tannic water can be:

That is an incredible shot! Wow!

That one is great as well ... and very much what I had in mind.

Hehe I took that photo in September of 2007 if I remember correctly. :D

Bob, I'll put together a little photo and video packet for you real quick, give me just a few minutes...

Thanks Charles and Rick ...

What an amazing response! More than I had hoped for. Thanks, folks. I'll be working on my presentation in the coming days (the club meeting's on Oct. 7), and will contact each of you as I see something that will fit into the presentation I end up with.

I appreciate your help very much ...

Jean

P.S. Isn't that lookup-up picture in the Ear just fantastic...A Diver eclipse of the Sun...wowza... VERY VERY PRETTY !!!!! :D

(And people wonder what we see downthere. Hard to explain sometimes besides Wet Rocks. Things like this make it SO SPECIAL ... (sigh) )

bob, pm me your email addy & i'll send you some shots.

hey, can we have a linky to your pics & notes for the lecturette when you're done with them? i'd love to see how a cave newbie would try to explain the mystique to non-cavers.

and someday i wanna dive the pnw!!

Mostly I want to describe what the training's like, show them some pics/vids/maps of the caves, and explain why people like to dive there.

If it turns out to be something worth reading, I'll put it on my website and post a link here.

And anytime you want to come out for a visit, I have a spare room and tons of spare gear ... c'mon out. Fall and winter are great times for diving (best vis) if you can handle the cool water and weather ...
