In the S-drills we did in my class, if you're donating and OOG buddy is on your left, you use put your left hand on the back of their right upper arm and maintain touch contact. They hold the long hose with their extended right arm.

Which works until you have to switch sides due to how the line is run. Now both are in your left hand as your right hand is above your head trying to feel anything that you might bump into.

The S Drill is just a starting point for training.
