The knife is like 6-7" long, end-to-end. That's a big knife. What do you plan on using it for?
 
I'm not saying there aren't bigger ones. And there's no need to be defensive....I'm asking an honest question. This is what I carry for entanglement issues. OAL <4", protected blade, sheath that tucks out of the way. If I were a scallop diver, I'd dive my Water Rat. If I were a commercial diver, I'd carry a bigger knife. The question that I asked was "What do you plan on using it for?" No need to get defensive.
 
Just asking about the knife at this point. Not being defensive. Been exploring all options... different knives that I've been looking at from the online stores. Not sure what I'm getting at this point, if anything. I haven't had a need for a knife at all at this point.

One foreseeable used would be scraping crud off our mooring buoy cables.
There's almost nothing to get tangled in where I dive so having just a line cutter wouldn't serve much purpose.
