Scuba Diving Magazine has improved greatly since Rodales sold it. I'm sorry to see it combined with the "fluff rag" Sport Diver which does no hard hitting reviews. At least SDM has Scuba Labs and does real tests and trials, even if the opinions are watered down (excuse the pun).

I've been happy with the direction they've taken in the past 2 years. I hope that the new ownership continues that trend. I used to treat their magazine as a coffee table one. I actually read it now (have gotten it for free for years).
The old newspaper right? That was fantasticI read the magazine every month and had written a couple of pieces for it. I know one or two people who worked there. I will miss their insights every month. Guess its all part of consolidation. Anyone remember Underwater USA?
