this is very very very sad, Singing Sands is a great place to dive, and this accident is very unfortunate

condolences to the family

alot of people take this dive for granted and consider it "routine", but everyone should take the time to remember that we engage in a potentially dangerous sport, not matter what the conditions
 
Another sad loss. There is a lot untold in the article of course, as usual - but really drives home some basics...
1: Stay with your buddy!

2: If you lose you buddy, surface!

3: If staying on surface is a problem, drop the lead!​
Really feel for the poor dad here, too.
