I have different brands of reg & octo so it's a challenge to find a great shop locally that services both brands. If you can believe it, most shops seems to carry either Aeris or Oceanic, but not both.

I've had good experiences in the past with both Scuba Toys and Dive Right In Scuba. Has anyone gotten reg service from either shop? Scuba Toys charges $50 and DRIS charges $60, but I do have a coupon for service with them so the prices are very similar. I don't need super fast service, but I need to know that I'll have the gear back in a few weeks at most. We are going on a Truth Aquatics trip at the end of next month.

P.S.- For those shopping for regs, don't buy 2 different brands. I got a great deal on mine and I love how they've performed, but it's a challenge to get them serviced.

Any shop that carry one of the Aeris/Oceanic/Hollis can service all of the three brands. They are the same company. I know at least 3 shops nearby will do the service for you, but you will pay a little more than ScubaToy or DRIS.

You know, I've found that not to be the case. I've been to the San Leandro office, so I know it's all one company, but Anywater does not get Oceanic parts even though they are an Aeris dealer. Plus, they said that while they have some leftover parts from when they were a dealer, I'd have to pay for them even though I should be getting free parts under warranty. Quite a shame because I love the shop otherwise. Total cost would be $80 labor + $42 parts... no thanks :(

AFAIK eelnoraa is correct. Aeris, Oceanic and Hollis are all..well Hollis.

They are all the same company, but I've found that shops who service Aeris may not service Oceanic as I posted above. When I bought the regs, I didn't think this would be the case- lesson learned :(

Joe at Scuba Toys is great! I trust them for buying and servicing. Yet my gear is new and hasn't needed servicing yet, my gf has had her stuff done there a few times.

I service my own, but I've seen posts about a place in the US, that only services reg's [all brands].....And every one says they're happy w/them..... If their prices are competitive I'd be more apt to send reg's to a specialist like that.......Shouldn't be hard to find them.......

If your regulators are working properly (see this thread for a checklist http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/regulators/346813-regulator-inspection-checklist-rev-7-a.html )forgo the service and spend the money on your vacation. I know both ST and DRI have good reputations, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Also, you'll be taking a chance on the delivery service getting them to the techs and back to you in time for your trip.

Scubatoys serviced my Oceanic regs last year. Service was fast.

I guess she has to do it as they are under the warranty and parts for life program.
