I hope this chatter helps draw views to the lovely MK3s for sale in post #1.

The difference between the 1980 MK VIII and the 1981 MK VIII is substantial enough that I have wondered in the past if there was some mix up involved in the catalog photos. Probably explained by marketing I suppose.

In 1981 SP just called their MK1 now MK VIII, before in 1982 the MK VIII was sold with a 4 LP Ports Environmental Cap.
There was also in 1981 a Spec Cap for the MK VIII, but up to now I have never seen one in reality.
