So I finally decided to actually MAKE an account here after scrolling through thousands of posts over the years. I do enjoy how social media has made it super easy to find dive buddies and spots, but for someone to actually log into here and post something shows a little more dedication, I've found. Anyways, to introduce myself... I started diving in Japan when I had some downtime during TDY assignments in the military and went from OW to DM in the course of a few years. In the summer of 2018 I decided to take the next step into technical diving, and currently looking to gain experience underwater while saving up for a DPV, gas booster, and other things I've found will make diving more enjoyable/less costly. Although I don't hesitate to take on a challenge, I'm also in no rush to get to the bottom of the ocean, go into CCR, or anything else before I feel I'm ready. I plan on diving for the next few decades, so staying healthy and safe is more important that any particular dive. I'm currently in the San Diego area, but I expect to be moving soon, destination unknown. Cheers.
