has any body used the Sea & Sea YS-02 strobe in TTL mode on a non Sea & Sea camera that does not have a preflash funtion.

I used to get the names Sealife and Sea and Sea confused. If that why you posted this here...?

The ys 02 does not utilize ttl....

my mistake I meant YS-01 as same as above question but for this one

the main reason is I have a sealife DC1200 and want use the sea and sea strobe with the sealife camera

If your camera is able to perform TTL without pre-flash, then the YS-01 should be able to emulate it.
The only camera that could be able to do that are film SLRs and maybe a camera that takes into distance and brightness of subject (not sure if such a thing exist).
