Put drysuit away for a month while off working. Did normal talc and lube proceedures on latex cuffs and waxed up zipper. Found hair like cracks in the latex seals at some points where the dryglove seals are fitted (not manufacture installed). Suit is about 2 years old with about 50 dives. Is this average for latex seals? Any way to make them last longer?

If you have cracks in the seals, I'd suggest replacing them while the suit isn't in demand. It's such a bummer having to take time out when you blow a seal mid-season. I generally figure about 2 years for latex wrist seals, a little longer for neck seals, YRMV, depending upon usage and a billion other factors. One suggestion: when you put the suit away for the winter, make sure it's dry and clean and then store it inside a garbage bag. Ozone and light kill latex.

Not sure where in Ontario you are located, if you are willing to ship it to Barrie Ontario I can look after your seals.

Thanks Scott

Scott,

I live about 15 min outside of...............................Barrie! I could walk it to you ha ha

What does it cost for a pair? It is a Bare XCD2 pro dry Large. If your ever short a dive bud I can ususally go anytime during the week when I'm off shift.
