I did the giant stride off the PADI boat a couple of years ago and I don't have a clue what EFR is. I'm sure I'll feel foolish when someone enlightens me. The Rescue course is great, DM too. Go for it.

Scubajoe, EFR stands for "Emergency First Response". Not my favorite part, but I'm glad I did it, too. I heard too many stories of people passing away just because no one around knew basic life saving technics.

Seems like DM is the next step though I'm starting to feel like a card collector... I'm going to leave the books until the end of the summer and focus on diving for now.
