Self Taught Sidemount - Is it Doable?

I am actually going to take a class next spring. I am going to finish my cave class then, only the instructor teaches it in sidemount only. If I can get some familiarity with the gear, it should speed up the process of correcting any bad habits I might develope on my own. If I can shorten that part of the process, it will give me more time to work on the cave training part of the week.

I am going to have to try the rig with BM doubles as well. I wonder how this rig will work compared to just my BP and Rec wing. After a couple years of futzing, I just got that one just the way I like it.....
