All,

I posted in the dive computer section with no luck :(

I am getting nitrox certified and want to be sure I setup my computer properly. It's a Mares Nemo Sport and I have the following settings available to me. I suspect that only the 1st one is relevant to nitrox. The Mares manual is not user friendly at all.

- NX fO2 % (from 22 to 100)
- SF (0 or 1). The default is 0 and it's at that now.
- Pt (15 or 30) the default is 30 and it's at that now.

Thanks for any input.

I don't have that computer, but FO2 is fraction of oxygen and 22% to 100% suggests it can be set for nitrox percentages in that range.

Can't help you on SF other than to suggest it may be an adjustable conservatism level.

Many computers with downloadable log functions also have variable smapeling rates, so the 15 or 30 may refer to that.

Nx fo2 % ... is percent O2 or nitrox
PT is profile time ... it logs dive profile data every 30 seconds
SF is USF .... User Safety Factor .. amount of conservatism

manual is here ... Mares - just add water

I agree on the manual is "not user friendly" part
