Think about, research, and consider what different situations any given shore dive might present.

Think about every foot from where you park your vehicle, as you make shore entry, as you get to sufficient depth to finish your gear-up, the nature of the ocean, the reef, the wind, wave and current.

Consider how you will plan your dive path, consider how you will find the exact path for your exit and how you will make landfall.

Every shore dive entry site is different, every day is different.

There is no "foolproof" method for going diving, and no different than boat diving (where many have great experience), each requires different skills and forehand knowledge of the physical environment.
