I’d like to find a camera setup that will work well for photos and video that my family can take turns using on an upcoming trip to Bonaire. I’m not sure whether I want to deal with lights, but having the ability to attach a red filter would be a bare minimum. None of us is an experienced underwater photo/videographer, but it would be fun to document our underwater adventures and to occasionally change the way we see and experience the underwater world.
I have considering getting a Divevolk housing for my phone since anyone can operate an iPhone camera and also because it would be nice to have a phone with us while we are out and about on the island (and I’m certainly not going to leave one in the truck while we’re diving), but consensus seems to be that the likelihood that the housing would eventually flood and the phone would be wrecked has dissuaded me from that option.
Considering all of these things, what camera setup would you recommend?
