Snoot - Cheap DIY for round flashes

Visibility is a bit low at some dives in Panglao right now. Hate backscatter so went to the shop.

Shopping list:
Kitchen funnell
Black electric tape
Sturdy rubberbands
Plastic milkbottle or other white opaque plastic.

Taped the inside of funnel because it's not thick enough to keep the light out. Added 2 sheets of opaque plastic near the hole for diffusion. Cut a slot for the optic cable and added rubberband for attaching it to flash.

Flashtube on the Sealife is not in the middle of the flash but it does not matter. First pics below.

The funnel is made from plastic in that color, found a yellow one as well but that did not fit good. Below is a pic before i taped it up, orange edges from the funnel.

I made one out of plumbing supplies as well. Gotta love being able to make things on the cheap that they sell for a couple hundred bucks. Love the starfish shot by the way. Just fantastic!

All depends on how big you like the ring of light to be too. First pics was test ones, hole in the funnel was a bit to big so taped it down, result below.
