According to CNN-a snorkeler on a diving trip off a catamaran off northern Austrailia this past week was literally bitten in half by a shark estimated by witnesses to be about 20 ft long. The shark returned after about 5 minutes and ate most of what was left. The search has been called off for the remaining body parts. The shark was thought to be a Great White or Tiger shark-according to witnesses. However the water seems a little warm for a Great White that far North-esp in the summer ! We may never know what shark caused this tragic encounter between man in the shark's element....Peace be with this family...Saildiver.
