Sounds prudent Dave. Damn, your streak is broken. :frown:

i agree with rescheduling. I would really like to meet members of scubaboard and the weather just isn't going to cooperate. The conditions have not been that great down in laguna unless you time it just perfect. I went out last week and the vis was 0-2 feet. the next day it was 2-4 ft. I like to only dive in surf the is under 2ft because i am short. so if the vis is decent the waves are to big (3-6ft). The other day the vis was 8-10 feet.

Sorry it didn't work out, everyone. It's still working out for me, I'll be on the Sundiver Express for the 3 tank dive on Saturday. Anyone else going?

Gee whiz... you all going to let a little rain stop you from getting wet? Me, too!

Pacificgal, I'm so glad you're still going to get a day of diving in! And I'm really glad that this is being rescheduled. I'm still stuck out here in AZ - Mom's going in for surgery at 11am. So even if the weather was perfect I'd miss it.

Have a great time on Sundiver -- and everyone else, looking forward to meet you at "take two" of this li'l scuba shindig!

I'm willing to dive when it's cold and rainy, since I have a drysuit. My wife doesn't feel the same, in her wetsuit (esp as a new diver). And regardless of surface conditions, with high surf to enter through (no convenient Casino Pt. staircase) and vis expected to be in the 1-2' range, if that, it's not really worth the trek (or the post-dive cleanup).

Resched looks to be the only reasonable thing to do.

I'll prob. be driving Ocean Blvd. coves looking for any decent entry anyway.. if it continues to be just a drizzle and the surf hasn't picked up yet, I'm jumping in.

See you all on the resched I hope.. though my weekends in March are mostly shot already and April may not be much better.

Dive On!
