Casino Point, Catalina Island... my house (it's the only joint I can afford unless someone else is buying). My mainland dives are almost always boat dives so I eat on board.

Ventura dives out of the Ventura Village = the Greek restaurant. Their sauteed octopus is divine and the ouzo selection is quite decent, not to mention the belly dancers and a bartender who looks like Goddess Artemis reincarnated.

Long Beach/Los Alamitos/San Pedro = a) New Orleans restaurant in Hermosa Beach or one of the Chinese/Vietnamese joints in Little Saigon. Crispy skin catfish at Favori and then hot coffee at Cafe Divang III where the bikini-cladded servers give you those Vietnamese coffees that would add hair to your chest.

If your in the San Diego area the broken yolk cafe is very good, they serve breakfast all day as well as lunch and dinner items.

"Prontos" Mexican Grill in Pedro(Western and 25th) is excellent for apres dive grub! Especially after you dive Ol'Marineland, Cabrillo, or White Point in P.V. You can bring in a 6 pak of yer favorite grog from the Liq store next store, jus ask fer a cup to keep it on the "low down".

Excellent Mexi grub, salsa bar, and Badd'ass handmade Rellenos! Some "Marinelanders" frequent here :cool2:

PS They have 1 more spot in Pedro (16th and Pacific), a spot in PV (Lunada Bay) and another in Gardena!

PSS The "Original Red Onion" in PV is also great for after OML dives.

Although tourista, I like "Dick's Last Resort" for a night of SD fun after diving (grab a cab to old town)!
