Can anyone tell me what it is like to dive Beaver Lake in Arkansas?
Some local opinions please...

Around this timer of year vis is ok water temp is somewere in the 50 to 60 range. by the dam is the best place to dive with a shop right on the lake. spear fishing is very good if your into it.
their is an old stone built ampa theater full of rooms and very good for a multi level dive.
you can find very good places to dive from either a boat or from shore.
all around just a kool lake to dive with other lakes in the area as well to see.
and if you are thinking of diving the lake buddy's are not hard to find!

Any shop you would recommend?

My 1st and only experience on beaver was excellent. I went in August and vis was over 20' by the wall and close to 15'-20 by the bus,chopper,plane,jetskit, etc... Had a good time.

And not sure how temps compare but we just got back from Bull Shoals today and temps were 42-46.

Temps are about the same. Ok their is actualy fIve to six shop's all in differant town's.

Looks like I will be there March 1st, plan on being down earlier to explore a little before I start working...I will be draging my camper down and staying at a campground for awhile...want to get a feel for the area...
