Here's some video of dives I took in Lake George over this past summer in late July. They are in the northern part of the Lake, which I have always found to have better visibility.
On these dives, I would rank the visibility as fair; it has been much better. One thing to keep in mind is to wait 2 to 3 days after significant rain if you are shore diving. Plenty of sun improves things greatly.
