shroy002:Now that being said how do you manually adjust the white balance while at 90 fsw? Do you have white divers slate to do this, and how often must it be done--say the sun goes behind the clouds--do you have to adjust the the white balance again?
Also,is this something that can be done during editing?
How often do you have to manually adjust the white balance during a dive?
I am heading to the big island of Hawaii for a couple of weeks in February.
I found setting manual white balance with a slate to be a PITA. Sand works fine for me, but you need to be fairly close, around 1-2 ft. I only adjust white balance when my depth has drastically changed. Usually 2 maybe 3 times a dive.
I prefer do as little color correction in editing as possible. It slows down rendering big time.
I don't believe manual white balance is available on the Top Dawg, but I could be wrong. Sounds like the 950 is the camcorder for you. It fits your housing, it's a great camcorder and there are several housing choices available w/ manual white balance control if it's not available on your Top Dawg.
You're going to love the Big Island. Do not miss the manta ray night dive.
I went last March. Check this out:
