Spear fishing

I seen last weeks divers down on the spear fishing tourney in Newport. WOW see some on the fish these guy are bringing up. I think I'll have to do some spear fishing this summer.
Any good sites or books to read up on teq.
I think it's all free diving no scuba so what is it just practice holding your breath or is these more to it. That's all.

You can do it with SCUBA, just harder to get close to the fish, i don know a few guys who used to do it all the time with scuba.
