Luso-German athlete dies in spearfishing championship in Denmark
The 31-year-old Portuguese-German athlete Matthias Sandeck died on Sunday while participating in the XXXII Euro-African Underwater Fishing Championship, which is taking place in Denmark, the Portuguese Federation of Underwater Activities (FPAS) source told Lusa.

According to the Federation, the causes of the accident “have yet to be ascertained” , but the organization of the championship in conjunction with the FPAS “are already working to know the circumstances that led to the death of the Portuguese athlete” , who lived in Algarve
