I am planning to get myself certified for a few specialty diver courses. Among the list of my interest is PADI's Specialty Wreck. I am awared of the risk and special skills required for wreck diving. For this reason, I am curious of how PADI's Specialty Wreck is considering how far the training would allow divers to go.

I understand that there are technical diving courses dedicated to wreck diving...............this just gives me more curiosity on the limits of PADI's Specialty Wreck with respects the sets of training divers go through at this level.:06:

Thanks a ton.

The basic (PADI) outline is 4 scuba dives required, and 130ft linear distance from the surface max (Combo of depth and penetration, within the light zone etc).

Instructor discretion on actual wreck penetration.

Not at all a technical training course, but it's getting warmer :)

Actually it's reasonably close to certain limits imposed by a cavern course, but the two are different in a few areas.
