Spring straps, adjustable?

Yeah - careful Mike. The straps you made aren't for Jet fins. (Or Twin Jets, as the case may be.) They're a lot more complex.

springs for jet fins:

STEP ONE: order #3932K54 springs at mcmaster.com
(optional) run a line through each spring to prevent overstreching
(optional) slide a piece of 1/2" hose on each spring
STEP TWO: clip the springs right on your fins' existing buckle
(optional) tie back or cut off the loose "middle" piece of the buckle

I just built mine today, and I set the spring length while wearing my tropical boots. I found that with my 7mm boots, it's only slightly more snug, and since the heavier boot has more reinforcement in the heel and achilles area, it doesn't feel awkward.
