Just be glad it is not padi... $20 per c card oh and if you want digital too it is extra... I much rather like the free digital card. Really how many cards do you actually need to take on the boat? If you have your advanced and nitrox it will cover 95% of recreational dives.

I had to pay for my replacement card and as I remember, it was $40. While the information is digital, there can always be issues with internet. Nobody would want to go on a dive vacation to find out they could not be verified because the computer was down. I don't mine carry a card.

One trick you can use is to download images of your cards and put them on your tablet. I did this with my Kindle, and it seems to have worked pretty well.

If you get a hard card take a photo with your phone of Front and Back.... most places will take that.
