Standard vs Extra-Long Knobs

Any reason to choose the extra-long knobs vs the standard on the twin tanks below?
Do you mean the difference between these kinds of knobs, or something else?

Of these two, choose the one on the left, especially if you wear gloves.
 
You can get aftermarket knobs that are bigger. Just have to make sure they fit your specific valve.
 
I don't have experience with those particular valve handles but I do with the Vindicator handles like these:

I prefer the longer handle because it is easier to grab when hands are cold and slippery. I don't think longer handles would matter that much in the tropics but are worth considering in water cold enough to require Neoprene or dry gloves.
