I don't know about that, Bob. The XXL Slipstreams are definitely a lot smaller than the XXL Jets. I own a pair, and they are slightly smaller than turtles. They are about the perfect size for my sz 13 rock boot.

Hmmm ... I demo'd an XXL pair in April, and they were really wobbly on my feet. I normally use Turtles.

I think the turtle's foot pocket was wider. My foot isn't too wide, just long and tall. It might fit different people differently (?) I even wear the Slipstreams with my wetsuit booties. If I was wearing an XXL jet, it would basically be a monofin with my wetsuit boots.

Well, I took the AL Rockets out this last weekend and made 6 dives with them. I will say that I did become more comfortable with them as I dive with them and I did not end up with the nose down with flutter kicking or rolling with frogs kicks that I experienced trying them out in my pool.

I did notice that they worked better the more I was in a horizontal position and that I was not able to nose dive and kick hard if I wanted to descend in a hurry. Everything just seemed to take more planning and "intention."

I am sure I will become more comfortable with these as I make more dives in these fins.
