Stonington, CT dive report 7/21/2012 9:25AM

Tried to dive Stonington with my girlfriend this morning. Was dissuaded by the 2-3ft vis...Couldn't see my own knees while floating on the surface, could barely see my hands while on the bottom. Hopefully it will clear up next time we try it.

Nice, ctwreck, I'm jealous. Can I ask what time you guys got out there? It was the first time we tried Stonington and we were there at 815 Saturday 7/21 right in the middle of an incoming tide.

It was about 9PM when we started our dive off of the west side(opposite Dubois Beach). The west side had the best vis. and Matt(mpegolo815) has all the details of our dive(tide, exact time etc.).

Great, thanks! Glad to hear that the opportunity is there for a great dive even if we didn't hit it this time. We're going to give Fort Wetherill a try tomorrow morning and see how it goes.
