hi there, can anyone tell me, if i buy my reg in bits ie say a 2nd stage first do i need 2 cover the end that connects 2 the first stage, incase dust etc gets in, advanced thanks.
 
if you do buy your kit in bits, keep them clean until they can be re-cleaned, assembled and tested by your LDS.
 
Typically the male ends of hoses will have caps on them.
 
Yep, try to keep the caps on until they are hooked up.
It would really suck to inhale a spider or something worse.

Now that would make an interesting call to DAN. :D

My coworker came close to having this happen to him. He noticed spider webs in the mouthpiece opening on a reg in for service, so rather than breathing off it, he opened it up. Inside were two live black widow spiders. They did not survive the ordeal. He did.
