What is the best/proper way to stow my SMB in my backplate pocket? Do I fold it a few times over itself to stay as flat as possible? Also, do I clip it off on my rear D-ring with the spool, or should I store the spool in my thight pocket?

Well, after trying it a bunch of ways myself (and still not convinced that I am doing it the best way), I fold it like an accordian, then turn it so that the inflation valve lines up with the channel in the BP, and stow it with the valve toward the BP.
If I am storing it in the BP pocket, I keep the spool seperate, and clip of to either the back D-ring or left side D-ring.
