Suggestions on a compressor for home/business use

Hey Sealark: I too have gotten great service from filtertechs, but the man who gets my money now, if the parts are genuine Bauer, is Porter Stiles at August Industries. For Lawrence Factor filter techs are very good, they have even special ordered in fittings for me, as they were sending me a package here to Vietnam, just so it could go in the same box, clear customs and save me on shipping costs. Porter bailed me out of a few jams where the problem was right in front of my eyes, but I just could not see it. There are 5 compressors on our island, I own three and I am by far the most qualified to repair them. Nobody to ring up here for help. One other dive shop has to fly a guy in from 600 miles away to clean their valves. Porter has saved me from that, before I had spent any money with him..I wrote him emails so he could answer in his own free time, but he insisted I call so he could give me his full attention. In offered to send him some money for his help, he would not accept. There are some great people supplying our industry, ray contreras is the go to guy for Coltri.

I went out and ran the pressure up to 3500 psi and the safety lifted and kept the pressure at 3500 psi. I ran the compressor for 30 minutes and shut it down. Drained the water from moisture seperator and stage drain. Checked the drain in bottom of filter bone dry. I guess it's working correctly.

I'm sure the mechanical engineer would not like my ideas. I wonder why the Navy stopped using the oilless portable Rix? sorry I said I wouldn't comment.

I have a used Bauer Junior for sale...it should meet your needs for a home shop refill station. 16-18 minutes per tank, easy to use and...it's a Bauer. Check the classified ads on SB. I just posted it. It shouldn't last long.
