I don’t think the loop would have been included if you bought it as a preassembled console.

It’s part number 413205, they’re pretty easy to find on eBay for less than $20.

When I bought mine, the compass came in a separate container, and the computer looked like this:

You had to remove the grey thing, and used the same screws to mount the compass.
