suunto gekko wrist mount to console conversion

Well, this is a heads up for anyone thinking of getting the gekko. If you have a regulator rig, or better yet, buying the regulartor rig with the gekko, then make sure you buy a console version of the gekko.

I bought a wrist version of the gekko first, and then converted that to a guage console version, which ended up being much more expensive than if I had bought the guage version to begin with. I think I could have gotten a cobra for that price... If only I would have known I'd like diving so much that I'd buy all my gear..

what's the difference between the two (wrist vs. console gekko), technically and cost?

No difference technically, one goes on your wrist, the other on your console. Personally, I like mine on my wrist, find it easier to view then in a console.
