Just bought two cylinders today but had to get the scubapro handles online as the shop didn't sell them.

Can anyone tell me what the slot at the top of the handle is?

Tank handles??
I would have said cylinder handles but Scubapro insists on calling them 'tank' handles, thought if anyone would notice!

Dust cap leash connection?
Yup, exactly.

Basically so the dust cap does not fly around after you take it off, you stick the wire in that slot so it stays in place.

OK, let us get serious.

Recreational BCD:s often have a flat band that clips around the neck of the cylidender. Perhaps one could run that thing through that slot???

Please note that a tank handle is really convenient on the shore but is a source of hazards under water. It is a completely unnecessary protrusion.
