Hello,
"Common sense" says that the only course, which can be done while the water is covered with ice is Ice Diver Specialty.
But my student asked me to show him where in the standards it is written that it is not allowed to do at least part of the training (i.e. v-drill for Extended Range) under ice.
First, I though it is said by the expression "open water" in the ER course, as ice makes the water not opened. But then my student showed me that SDI Ice Diver specialty also refers to "open water".
So, according to TDI, what can be done under ice?
Of course, with all the ice-related support procedures.
Regards,
